About

How to Talk to Robots is an open-source, community-driven resource built by educators and engineers to bridge the digital divide. Everything here is free: plain-English guides, copy-paste prompts, and frameworks for using AI tools like ChatGPT and Claude in real life.

Our angle is simple: AI should be a thinking partner, not a shortcut. By combining neuroscience with Socratic frameworks, we move beyond simple “hacks.” We help individuals and teams learn to use AI in a way that makes them sharper — better questioners, better readers, better decision-makers.

Who's behind it

The project was started by Amanda Grutza, creative technologist and founder of Third Space, and is community co-created with a team of passionate educators and engineers.

How the site is built

True to the mission, this site is open source — a fast, accessible static site with no trackers and no paywall. Every resource in the library is a plain text file anyone can improve.
